Chapter 357

Evelyn met his smiling eyes and nodded. "Since my husband wants to stay for dinner, then we’ll just stay."

The three little troublemakers exchanged exasperated glances.

Ugh, so gross!

During dinner, the maid stood nearby, serving each dish with practiced ease.

Nathan hadn’t returned for a meal since moving out, making tonight his first time back at the table.

Caleb, Liam, and Daisy sat beside their parents, devouring their food as if it had been prepared by a world-renowned chef.

Theodore observed them with amusement.

Normally, the kids weren’t this enthusiastic about eating.

Clearly, they’re happiest when their parents are around.

"Ahem," Theodore cleared his throat. "Since you’re here, you might as well move back in."

Nathan glanced up, his tone casual. "It’s inconvenient. We’re planning for another child."

Evelyn’s hands froze mid-air, her eyes widening in shock.

Even Theodore was taken aback. "You—you want another baby?"

"Daddy, is Mommy going to have a baby?" Daisy’s face lit up with excitement. "That means I won’t be the youngest anymore! I’ll be a big sister!"

Daisy had always hated being the youngest—she wanted someone to boss around.

Evelyn was speechless.

I never agreed to this!

Theodore looked at the three eager faces and thought, More Goldmann heirs wouldn’t be a bad thing.

"I’ll leave it to you two. I’m too old to interfere."

His words were a clear signal—he wouldn’t stand in their way.

Rosalind, who had been silently eating, clenched her fork. A dark glint flashed in her eyes.

It was hard enough making Grandfather doubt Evelyn. But now, things are slipping out of my control.

If this continues, she’ll win him over completely. And my position in this family will mean nothing.

Damn it. I underestimated her. I can’t just sit back and watch my downfall.

A few days later...

The renovations at Viana Jewelry were nearly complete. Evelyn and Gregory visited the site to check on the progress.

The interior design mirrored Soul Jewelry Studio’s aesthetic, but the space was significantly larger.

They would be able to relocate in three days. Once merged, Soul and Viana would become one powerhouse company.

"Uncle Gregory, our team at the studio already understands the market well. They’ll guide the new hires when the time comes."

"Director Xavier will be promoted to general manager, overseeing the purchasing department. And you’ll handle administration. How does that sound?"

Gregory smiled warmly. "Xavier and I have worked together for years. Coming back here feels like coming home—whether it’s called Viana or Soul doesn’t matter. We’ll support whatever decision you make."

His words touched Evelyn deeply. Finding loyal allies in this cutthroat world was rare.

Gregory and Director Xavier had chosen to return when Viana was at its lowest. She would never forget that.

After assigning Gregory to supervise the final renovations, Evelyn returned to Vanderbilt Manor.

A small, reddish-brown terrier dashed toward her, tugging at her pant leg before rolling onto its back, belly exposed.

"Rusty, you’re being naughty again." Richard sighed. The dog was bold but endearingly simple-minded—it adored strangers.

Evelyn chuckled, scooping up the puppy and giving it a sniff. "Dad, did you give him a bath?"
