Chapter 335

Nathan's eyes softened with warmth when Evelyn expressed her trust in him. He leaned in, his lips inches from hers.

Then, a sudden thought struck her. She pressed a hand against his chest, stopping him.

Nathan frowned, his gaze darkening. "What's wrong?"

"Did you have anything to do with Vivian being sent to the Underground Freeway?"

His grip tightened around her wrist. "She deserved it. I wouldn't have done it otherwise. Why?"

Evelyn's lips thinned. "Do you remember when Liam and Daisy were attacked online? She was behind it."

Nathan's expression turned icy. "You went to the Underground Freeway?"

Alone? His jaw clenched. What if something had happened to her?

Evelyn arched a brow. "She's not there anymore."

Nathan stiffened. "She escaped?"

"Exactly." Evelyn crossed her arms. "I asked Gregory to track the IP addresses of the trolls. One led me to Vivian. While questioning her, I suspected someone was helping her again."

Nathan pulled her into his arms, his voice low. "You went to another man for help instead of me?"

She hesitated. Truthfully, she didn’t know why she avoided relying on him.

"Zoe," he murmured, pressing a kiss to her knuckles. "I’m your husband. I’ll always stand by you. I just wish you’d trust me more."

Evelyn looped her arms around his neck, catching him off guard as she rose onto her toes and kissed him.

Her cheeks flushed as she pulled back. "I will. I promise."

Nathan’s breath hitched. Then, with a growl, he cupped the back of her head and claimed her lips in a searing kiss.

I can never get enough of her.

Rosalind stood outside the door, her back pressed against the wall. She had come to speak with Nathan but hadn’t expected this.

She bit her lip. Vivian was exposed already? Useless.

Since Evelyn hadn’t taken her earlier words seriously, Rosalind just needed to push harder.

Cyberbullying had backfired spectacularly—Liam and Daisy had gained fame instead. Not only were they starring in a show with Adrian Boucher, but their connection to the Goldmann family had also been revealed. Offers poured in, though their manager, Angela, had to decline most due to their age.

Now, Liam and Daisy sat in a dressing room, preparing for a commercial shoot for Gemini Reading Machine. Scripts in hand, they followed Angela and two bodyguards onto the set.

As Daisy passed a cluster of equipment, a heavy light fixture suddenly crashed toward her.

"Daisy!"

Angela yanked her aside just in time—but the fixture landed on Angela’s foot with a sickening crunch.

Daisy gasped, trying to help, but the bodyguards pulled her back.

"Get it off her!" Crew members rushed forward, lifting the fixture.

Angela’s face was pale, her foot fractured. She forced a weak smile. "I'm fine—"

Then she collapsed.

Amid the chaos, Liam slipped behind the equipment. His sharp eyes caught something suspicious—a loosened bolt on the stand.

Emperor Entertainment Inc.

"How could this happen on set?" Nathan’s voice was dangerously calm. "If anything had happened to them—who would answer for it?"
